Economic Development Will be Focus of Chamber Breakfast
Telly Tucker, Director of the Office of Economic Development for the City of Danville, will be the featured speaker at Business at Breakfast on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:30 a.m. at the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research (150 Slayton Avenue, Danville).
The breakfast will provide an opportunity for Chamber and community members to meet the city's Economic Development Director and hear his vision for the future of the city's economic growth.
Tucker began his position as Danville’s economic development director on July 1, 2014 after serving as assistant economic development director in James City County for three years. Before that, he served with the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development as an enterprise zone program administrator for a year and a half.
Tucker launched his career with the City of Lynchburg, working for three years as its economic development specialist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from James Madison University, and he has obtained the certified economic developer designation from the International Economic Development Council.
The breakfast meeting, which is open to the public, costs $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members. The cost includes a buffet breakfast with healthy food choices.
