The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce will hold a candidate breakfast meeting to allow business and community leaders to learn more about the candidates in the November election for Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors.

The breakfast is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, at 7:30 a.m. at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Center (19783 US Highway 29, Chatham).

Invitations have been issued to the 13 Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisor candidates who are vying for seven seats. Candidates in this fall’s election include: Jessie L. Barksdale for the Banister District; Jerry A. Hagerman and L. Vernon Moon for the Callands-Gretna District; Robert “Bob Warren for the Chatham-Blairs District; Joe Davis and James H. Snead for the Dan River District; Curtis W. Arthur Sr., Elton W. Blackstock Jr., and Chris L. Dalton for the Staunton River District; Tim R. Barber and Gracie A. Mays for the Tunstall District; and Roy N. “Pete” Ford, Jr. and Ronald S. Scearce for the Westover District.

Candidates will be given five minutes each for prepared remarks. The candidates have also been given a set of questions developed by the Chamber’s Legislative Committee. Their written responses will be available at the breakfast.
