The Chamber hosts a variety of programs and events so that we can benefit the large spectrum of companies and organizations that we represent. All events and programs are publicized in Chamber Connnections (our monthly newsletter) and Chamber Briefs (our weekly email update) sent to all members. Here is a brief description of the programs and events hosted by the Chamber.
These morning meetings have a variety of focus topics and are aimed at educating area business men and women of significant and timely happenings.
These meetings are typically hosted by Chamber members throughout the community. The style is typically casual and designed to allow you to network and get to know other business leaders of the area.
The Young Professionals events (YoPE) are designed to bring together the young professionals of our community for both educational and social events. Visit the Young Professionals' Facebook page.
The Southside Show-Biz Trade Show showcases products and services from leading businesses in our region.
While the shrimp are the centerpiece of the annual Shrimp Fest, it's the fellowship with friends, neighbors, and business colleagues that brings people year after year.
Leadership Southside is a two-phase interactive and informative program that offers skill building, leadership development, and an introduction to Southside Virginia. The program offers monthly workshops and culminates with a community project to be completed collectively by participants.
Junior Leadership Southside is an 8 month program that will provide leadership orientation and development to local rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
The Chamber hosts two golf tournaments which provide excellent sponsorship opportunities and allow business leaders to compete in good fun. Proceeds from the tournaments support education initiatives and Chamber services.
This 100-day wellness challenge is a team-based weight loss and physical activity program that will assist you and your teammates in making positive changes that lead to a healthier lifestyle.
Throughout the year, the Chamber hosts a variety of educational opportunities to equip our business professionals with information on relevant and beneficial topics such as management skills, social media marketing, etc.
The Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting allows us an opportunity to recognize leaders within the Chamber while providing all members with the upcoming year’s goals and initiatives.
