Recovery Refuge Peer Support Center (RRPSC), is a nonprofit consumer-operated service program for people who face mental health and/or addiction related challenges, and their immediate family members. RRPSC offers numerous evidence-based supportive programs through our drop-in center, free of charge. Without offering any diagnostic or clinical services RRPSC "Bridges the Gap" between traditional and nontraditional services providers by utilizing the services provided through professionally trained Peer Recovery Specialist(s) (PRS) . Most services offer through the drop-in center are offered during time traditional service providers are not open: evenings, weekends, and holidays RRPSC, also offers professional training and career development through our evidenced-based and peer recovery training opportunities. RRPSC offers the 72-hour Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services leading to Certification through the Virginia Certification Board (VCB). Furthermore, we are able to offer the training necessary to obtain the 20 continue education units (CEU) to maintain certification as a VCB Approved Provider. Lastly, RRPSC has an outreach program for people who are returning to our communities from local and state managed facilities.
