The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce is the vanguard of community stewardship and regional responsibility in Southside Virginia.  The Chamber is a membership organization comprised of local business owners and executives who believe strongly in the free enterprise system. Workforce development is one of the most important issues facing businesses in Danville and Pittsylvania County. A quality workforce is imperative to the success of our existing employers and the recruitment of new employers. The Chamber, in partnership with other workforce organizations and agencies, provides the leadership to facilitate the acquisition, development and retention of a quality workforce that matches employer needs.

Build name awareness with print, broadcast, Internet, display and event exposure.   The Chamber promotes its members through its monthly newsletter that is distributed to almost 1,400 business members, through the membership directory that is distributed to all Chamber members, and through the Chamber’s website (www.dpchamber.org). 

The Chamber receives hundreds of phone calls, mail requests and website "hits" each year. Only members of our organization are given free referrals to these potential customers.  What a great way to drive business to your door!

Since 1884 when the predecessor of the former Danville Chamber of Commerce (The Commercial Association) started, we have been working to attract new business and to make existing businesses more profitable. As a regional Chamber, we have been involved in leadership development, workforce development and education.
