Sherman Saunders gave the “State of the City Address” at a Chamber Business at Breakfast in late June. Saunders encouraged community and business leaders to “Imagine Danville” and participate in the city’s current comprehensive planning efforts. Sir Ken Robinson, PhD, internationally recognized leader in the development of creativity, innovation and human resources, was the featured speaker at a community breakfast sponsored by the Danville Regional Foundation and the Chamber on March 16. Dr. Ian Smith, founder of The 50 Million Pound Challenge, spoke to around 350 chamber members and community residents on how to lose weight and why living healthy is important. The breakfast was sponsored by the Danville Regional Foundation and held at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.
