President & CEO
Alexis Ehrhardt is President & CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, where her work focuses on serving the business community to make a stronger Dan River Region. Prior to that, she served as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Career Competitiveness at Averett University.
Raised in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Rockville, MD, Alexis has lived in the region since 2000. She graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a B.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Spanish, holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Virginia, and a doctorate in Leadership Studies from Lynchburg College.
A 2016 graduate of Lead Virginia, Alexis is a gubernatorial appointee to the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission, and serves on the City of Danville’s Transportation Advisory Committee. She also serves on the boards of Danville Regional Foundation, Lead Virginia, the Sorenson Institute, and the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Director of Member Engagement
Madison comes to the Chamber from The Virginian in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she most recently has served as the Catering Sales Manager. Madi holds a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech, and in 2019 was named to the Millennials on the Move [Top 40 under 40] list in Lynchburg Business Magazine.
Madi brings her experience in customer service, event planning, sales and marketing to the Chamber, where she will be focused on developing and overseeing membership recruitment, retention and engagement; implementing programs, events and services that directly reflect member needs and interests; and creating and managing all Chamber marketing and communications.
Christy comes to the Chamber with several years’ experience in non-profit organizations and will be focused on serving and communicating with prospective and current members, assisting with event logistics and supporting Chamber operations.
Christy currently serves as a board member of the River District Association, was a member of the Dan River Region Entrepreneur Ecosystem COVID-19 Microgrant Selection Committee and led production for the recent TEDx Danville. She holds a B.S. from St. Paul’s College and an MBA from Strayer University.
Wealth Equity Fellow
Danielle will, with a group of regional partners and stakeholders, focus on best practices in workforce development, employee recruitment and engagement, human resources and other critical topics in the context of creating a more equitable workplace. The fellow will also provide technical assistance to help businesses and organizations.
Danielle is a program coordinator for the City of Danville Department of Parks & Recreation. She is active in her community with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and The Health Collaborative, a regional health coalition, where she serves as the Health Equity Co-Chair. Danielle currently is pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership with a concentration in healthcare leadership at Regent University.
