President & CEO
Alexis Ehrhardt is President & CEO of the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, where her work focuses on serving the business community to make a stronger Dan River Region. Prior to that, she served as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Career Competitiveness at Averett University.
Raised in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Rockville, MD, Alexis has lived in the region since 2000. She graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a B.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Spanish, holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Virginia, and a doctorate in Leadership Studies from Lynchburg College.
A 2016 graduate of Lead Virginia, Alexis is a gubernatorial appointee to the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission, and serves on the City of Danville’s Transportation Advisory Committee. She also serves on the boards of Danville Regional Foundation and the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Director of Member Services
Prior to joining the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce as Director of Member Services in 2018, Rachel served as the Director of Community Engagement for the Center for Community Engagement & Career Competitiveness at Averett University.
A native of Danville, Rachel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mary Washington with a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish, and the equivalent of a minor in Arabic. She plans to graduate from the University of Lynchburg with a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership Studies in 2020.
In addition, Rachel also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University, and she is a 2017 Middle Border Forward Fellow and a 2012 graduate of Leadership Southside. In the community, Rachel serves as the President of the River District Association Board of Directors.
Director of Operations
A native of Hurt, Donna Ashworth joined the Chamber in June 2001. A Summa cum Laude graduate of Danville Community College, Donna earned an A.A.S. degree in Administrative Support Technology. Before joining the chamber and graduating DCC, Donna worked for 15 years at Bassett-Walker in Chatham.
Donna holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University and in 2010 completed the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Institute. She also is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Southside.
